We will not perform any grooming procedures that causes pain or a level of distress that we think is excessive. All work that is being requested by the owner will be attempted, however if your cat becomes unduly stressed, we will groom only to ensure comfort and cleanliness.
It is the owner’s responsibility to advise us of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities or pre-existing condition and treatment they are receiving prior to grooming taking place. In the event that Cat-titude discovers any problems we will notify you immediately, Cat-titude cannot be held responsible for any conditions or problems discovered during grooming or associated treatments.
A matted coat can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation, skin infections and injury. Removing heavily matted coats includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles and skin folds that have become trapped and hidden within the matted fur. Heaving matting can also cause moisture to be trapped on the cat’s skin which, if left untreated, causes fungus or bacteria to grow. Cat-titude will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions due to a matted coat.
In the event that Cat-titude is unable to complete a full groom or any treatment that has been pre-booked due to excessive matting, then Cat-titude reserves the right to stop the groom and request an additional appointment be mad for such work to be completed.
Owners must sign a form for all cats groomed with Cat-titude, this form will explain the dangers, risks and terms for grooming cats. Signing this form indicates that owners understand the risks involved and cannot hold Cat-titude liable for any problems incurred.
Cat-titude staff have the right to work in a safe environment and therefore Cat-titude reserves the right to refuse any groom or treatment at any time. If your cat is showing signs of aggression any appropriate restraints may be used during any groom.
Owners agree to be held solely liable for any harm, injury or damage caused by your cat and any thereafter incurred.
If we arrive at your home and your cat cannot be groomed or receive pre-organised treatment (for example, your cat is outside and cannot be caught) then a standard fee of £10 will be charged due to the cost of fuel and our time. A deposit may then be required for further grooming in the future.
Cat-titude will arrive as close as possible to the scheduled appointment time, however, sometimes situations can arise that will disrupt our schedule. This can include but is not restricted to, traffic, weather, spending more time with an older or difficult cat, or injury. Safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet our next appointment. Cat-titude will contact you and advise of a new arrival time if an appointment has to be changed.
Cat-titude shall require 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment. Failure to offer at least 24 hours’ notice in advance may result in a charge equivalent to the price of the groom and must be paid prior to your next appointment.
If we show up to an appointment and there is no one at home or the cat is unavailable the price of the groom will be due.
Payment is due at the completion of the groom. We accept cash, card payment or BACS transfer. Cat-titude will make every endeavour to make sure that you are satisfied with any service we provide, however, due to the nature of our work we operate a no refunds policy. If you are not satisfied with any service we provide you can get in touch through our website, phone or email and we will try our best to resolve any issues within 10 working days.
By continuing to book with us, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms outlined above and agree to them.
